我觉得supported是用于支持basic law的，英语中的形容词一般是修饰最靠近它的词的。大牛写出来的东东，你要很小心的。如果是支持conclusions的，个人觉得应该是：

Scientific conclusions derive from an understanding of basic laws，which are supported by laboratory experiments, observations of nature, and　mathematical and computer modeling.

这里的which指的是前面的整个句子的。

或者干脆表明：Scientific conclusions derive from an understanding of basic laws，and conclusions are supported....

再读读这个：Scientific conclusions derive from an understanding of basic laws that are supported....

So it is basic laws that are supported, not understanding, and conclusions either.
