Troy高中:

He will attend Harvard University. He is an International Brain Bee Champion, an Intel Science Talent Search Finalist, a Siemens Competition Semi-finalist, a USA Physics Olympiad Semi-finalist, a USA Biology Olympiad Semi-finalist, a National Merit Finalist, and the regional winner of the Physics Bowl. He was Co-President of Science Olympiad and Biology Club. He was also Vice President of Physics Club. He conducts Neuroscience research at the University of Michigan. He was also Captain of both the Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track teams for two years, where he ran in National competitions.

He will attend Stanford University. He is a Presidential Scholar Semifinalist, Siemens AP State Award Winner, National AP Scholar, National Merit Finalist, Intel Science Talent Search Finalist, USA Physics Olympiad Semifinalist, US Chemistry Olympiad National Finalist with Honors, Siemens Westinghouse Science Competition Semifinalist, Caltech Axline Scholar, and USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist. She will be attending Yale University in the fall. She shadowed a neurologist with the MERIT Program, did summer research with scholarship at Washington University in St. Louis, volunteered at a local hospital for three years, did Latin V Independent Study, and played violin with the MYS Symphony Orchestra. She was Editor-in-Chief of the THS magazine Pulse for two years, President of Young Writers’ Club, Co-captain of the THS JV tennis team and member for two years, National Honor Society Chairperson, FPS club team member, Science Olympiad member, Latin Club Webmaster, English tutor, Project L.E.A.D. member, and was an ACSGD SAT Verbal Teacher for the 2006-2007 school years.

Photography Program, and in Cranbrook Summer Art Institute Painting Classes. His artwork has been exhibited in the Birmingham Student Our Town Art Exhibition and the Michigan Young at Art Exhibit. Furthermore, he took part in the International Academy’s 2006 Language Immersion Trip to Spain and in the same year was accepted into the Telluride Association Summer Program. Throughout his junior and senior year, he volunteered as a member of his subdivision’s Neighborhood Association as well as in the organization of many school events, such as sophomore career day. His main passions are languages, anthropology and cultural studies, art, and horticulture. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and German, and can read most Romance languages as well as some Dutch. His leadership includes Chairperson in Student Piano Committee (2004-2007), USG of Technology, 4th Annual IA Model United Nations Conference (2006), Crisis Committee, South-East Michigan MUN Conference 2005.
