Lynn Forester de Rothschild was a strong supporter of Clinton's White House bid.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.
The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.
On November 30, 2000, Sir Evelyn married the American lawyer and entrepreneur Lynn Forester, head of the Luxembourg-based wireless broadband venture FirstMark Communications Europe and the former wife of Andrew Stein, a New York City political figure who served as the last president of the New York City Council. By this marriage, he has two stepchildren, Ben and Jake Stein. She is a lifelong Democrat who supported Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primary and was one of her largest fundraisers in her Presidential bid and for her previous Senate campaigns. However, on 17 September 2008, Lady de Rothschild announced that she would be working as a fundraiser for John McCain in the 2008 general election.[1]
