人民网―人文社推出《美国学生课外阅读丛书》（含书目）

经过精心的准备，在研究了国外、尤其是美国学生课外阅读状况的基础上，人民文学出版社成功引进出版了“美国学生课外阅读丛书”(35种)，使中国的青少年及儿童能够阅读到大洋彼岸的同龄人看的图书。相信这套丛书的出版对改变中国少年儿童阅读超前的现状，弥补国内中学生课外阅读当代作品较少的不足必将起到重要的作用。

该丛书选自美国国家人文学科基金会推荐的“夏日心爱图书”书目，这个书目确定了推荐给幼儿园直到高中 12年级学生的课外阅读图书300种，人民文学出版社从中特别精选了适合我国青少年儿童阅读的作品35种，读者不仅能够从中享受到极佳的文学艺术熏陶，还能体悟人生经验与智慧的升华。

Summertime Favorites, a list of recommended readings, represents NEH's long-standing effort to highlight classic literature for young people from kindergarten through high school.

For 2003, NEH revised and updated Summertime Favorites with help from librarians and reading experts.

Thousands of parents and teachers have used Summertime Favorites since 1988 as a supplement to school reading lists to emphasize the value of reading classic books.

What is NEH?

NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.
