希伯来语的书写语言原来是不标元音的,旧约圣经就是不标元音的。阿拉伯语原来也不标元音。
对于一个活着的语言,不标元音大约也还能读出来。但是一旦语言中断了,发音就难了。
希伯来语作为口语中断过很久,只在拉比中流传但是很多都有了变化。后来很晚的时候出现了标注原因的圣经,才算统一了新的希伯来语的念法。
以色列建国的时候,应该是没几个人在说希伯来语的。几百万人一起把语言复活起来,也算是奇迹了。
