It is also up to what is the positioning of cchere in comparison to all the other Chinese BBS, whether we are moving towards

1. a nice mid-sized community for some targeted netters or

2. popular BBS like wenxuecity or sina.

The business model for the previous one can be membership fee and community activity; for the latter one would be advertisement and online matching etc.

Thanks for the contributions of Lao Tie, monitiors, and all members so far, cchere is developing into a nice and intriguing community. We have very good chance to move into 1.

The good side to adopt membership system is

to have a loyal and high quality members of this community, that will be the solid foundation for cchere to expand into the future;

The downside of membership system is our style might be fixed if we start to choose our members from now on.

I guess we have around 300 members so far. In my opinion, that is good enough to bring up various style. Therefore, I propose we run a poll on whether to adopt membership system or not.

Sorry I can't type in Chinese now, that might not be a bad thing though coz my Chinese is poor.
