家园 USA Today reported it a month ago A US busniess man, who lives in Colorado, wants to bring cars from three manudacturers in China. This Benz like car is one of them, including SUVs. But there are several issues that have to be solved before Chinese made cars can really sold in the US.
Regulatoral issues, so far, according to authority for highway safety, there is no application for safety tests having been filed, the test normally will takes 5 cars, and 2-3 years to finish.
IP issuese, Chinese made cars all look like several foreign cars, the new designs could be needed, otherwise, just Chinese DVD manaufcturers, Chinses car manufacturers would face legal problems.
Quality, mantainance and EPA emission issues.
Distribution, the Colorado guy is talking with several big dealerships in the west states in the US, but this guy has a very bad reputation, especially in Texas where he is banned to do any car-sell related business there.
It would be good for Chinese made cars sold in the US, but it will take several years to achieve that goal.

家园 其实别忘了这个事实。 现在国人总还是拿着以前“出口转内销”的态度看现在国产商品。我倒真不认为这个企业真会拉开了架势去打美国市场，很可能只不过是虚晃一枪，目的是给国内的消费者看的：我们生产的汽车能出国，肯定质量没问题。我觉得这种手腕虽然可能有点愚弄消费者的意思，但是关键还是看商家自己是不是真心诚意地买给自家人质量过硬的产品，作为个商业伎俩还是可以接受的。另外，听说美国那边已经有国产品牌的电器了，但实际上还是买了美国国内的牌子作的壳。但是那个牌子的电器厂家在国内可都是声称自己的牌子的东西在某国、某国多畅销云云。当然，我还是那个看法，以目前中国消费者心态，某些营销手段也是顺应市场的结果。
