中国的书生不行: Confuscius' books are books ON MORALs, not books on science. China's 书生, esp., before science/physics/chemistry/math were introduced into China, were trained not based on scientific methodologies, so the whole framework of knowledge was built upon moral arguments, not logic and empirical tests.

One exception is Charles Lee at Cornell University. But he is trained by the U.S. system despite his Taiwan/Chinese cultural background.
