该网页在http://www.abmc.gov/memorials/memorials/kr.php，人们一般能很容易地找到这个网页——该委员会网站的首页左侧有个信息栏，里面有纪念碑这一项，一点进去就可以发现朝鲜战争纪念碑的网页链接，进入后就是该网页。该网页第一段如下：

如果只看“The memorial commemorates the sacrifices of the 5.8 million Americans who served in the U.S. armed services during the three-year period of the Korean War. From June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953, 54,246 Americans died in support of their country.”和后面的“As an integral part of the memorial, the Korean War Honor Roll was established, honoring those U.S. military personnel who died worldwide during the war.”，确实可以理解为54246可能是全球美军死亡数字，但这段话写得比较别扭：前面提“The Korean War Veterans Memorial ...”，然后在54246数字和“As an integral part of the memorial, the Korean War Honor Roll was established, honoring those U.S. military personnel who died worldwide during the war”之间又来一句“In addition 103,284 were wounded during the conflict”，这让人很容易理解为伤亡数字都应该是the conflict造成的。其实，该网页应该明确指出54246包含全球死亡数字。

可是，在该网页的最下面，在介绍路边石上的伤亡数字时，该网页把54246的数字和联合国军死亡数字（这只能发生在朝鲜战场及其关联区域中）列在一起，但没有任何解释。

阅读人如果事先不知道54246可能包含朝鲜战场以外死亡数字，那就很容易被上面内容引导成理解54246是朝鲜战场的死亡数字。

当然，更重要的是，如果数字真有误，那么纪念碑应该被修改。
