Ontario or Alberta. I did notice that English-speaking Canadians are very similar to Americans: law-abiding good citizens. I feel at ease when I deal with them -- no same feeling with French Canadians.

There are many magic things going on in Quebec. I visited Montreal many times for business reasons and heard many funny stories. The recent exposed story is about its expensive highway construction and its Italian-controlled mafia. The Chinese community in Montreal is much poor than its counterparties in Toronto and Vancouver. So some of the stories mentioned by Forger might sound abnormal, but still can be quite true.

Chinese, on average, are good at utilizing their talents on grey tricks. It has been proved in Europe, in America and Canada. I do not dispute that because I was shocked by many stories I heard when I am in Europe, US and Canada.

BTW, there are all kinds of grey tricks people do not teach you in school... You and I are lucky middle-class professionals, so we do not have to scratch the bottom of the food trash bin-- but you should not assume everyone is as lucky as you are.
