历史经过千百年留下的只有雾里看花的朦胧。电影里面好多都只能说是艺术，比如对Hypatia学术成就的描叙。 对她的结局再艺术化点，也就没什么不可了。 此外也得考虑市场和观众的接受程度，毕竟欧美是基督教占主导地位。这电影在欧洲的票房还可以。在美国电影院里基本看不到：“A limited release in the U.S. began on May 28, 2010, opening on two screens at the Paris Theatre and the Sunshine Cinema in New York. The film opened on the West Coast of the U.S. on June 4, playing only two screens: at The Landmark theatre in Los Angeles and at Regal's Westpark 8 in Irvine.”
