NUCLEAR INDUSTRY: America in nuclear deal with India

The Daily Telegraph reports that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yesterday unveiled an agreement that will see the US build two nuclear power stations and supply arms to India as part of the two countries' growing strategic pact. Lockheed Martin and Boeing are expected to benefit from the defence deal, which will see India buy US defence equipment under an arrangement that would allow Washington to monitor its use to prevent weapons technology being sold to rogue regimes. General Electric and Westinghouse are expected to win major contracts to build reactors for two new nuclear plants.
