是的，poppy在英文里可以泛指各种小野花，统称poppy family, 不过poppy seed专指Opium Seed,因为其他野花的种子是不能吃的。
They are harvested from the opium poppy (Papaver somniferum) seed pods, and have been cultivated by various civilizations.
The seeds of other poppy types are not eaten, but they are cultivated for the flowers they produce.（来自wiki百科）
