主题：【原创】英国的一首赞美诗Abide with me -- 燕人

Abide with Me是一首旋律优美而深沉的赞美诗Hymn。第一次听到它的旋律，是在英国拍摄的二战电影<遥远的桥>里.影片快到结尾的时候，无法撤退的英国伤兵们坐在一所教堂的边上等待德国士兵的到来。无助的英国人唱起这首歌曲。下面是youtobe上的连接：

当时听到这个音乐我的感受可以用震惊两个字来形容。那种优美和从容深入我的骨髓。我经常笑话英国人在饮食方面可谓·野人··蛮子·，在这首音乐面前我感到英国人和我们同样文明，单说音乐的话，或许比我们还文明多些。

我一直不知道这首曲子的名字和来历，直到有一次听BBC的PROM,需要查询有关的曲目，所以在因特网上狂搜，一下子碰到了它。这才知道它是一首赞美诗，作者是一位19世纪的英国乡村牧师Hen&shy;ry Lyte。这位乡绅在1847年的时候身患重病，感到来日不多，因此提笔写下这首圣诗。三周后他就去世了。1861年英国一位著名的赞美诗作曲家Wil&shy;liam H. Monk为这首圣诗谱曲。作曲家的太太描述了当时的场景：

这首曲子是在极大的悲痛中写出来得。那天，像往常一样，我们远眺落日的辉煌。当最后一线日光消失时，他拿出笔纸，写下了这首传遍全球的曲子。

在Youtube上有很多版本。这里是一个少年合唱的版本。背景是奥斯维希集中营的犹太少女照片。

关于歌词，原作用的是比较古老的英语。在1933年我国一位刘廷芳先生把它翻译成中文：

夕陽西沉, 求主與我同居;

黑暗漸深, 求主與我同居;

求助無門, 安慰也無求處,

常助孤苦之神, 與我同居.

渺小浮生, 飄向生涯盡處

歡娛好景, 轉瞬都成過去;

變化無常, 環境何能留住?

懇求不變之神, 與我同居.

我深需主, 時刻需主眷顧,

除卻主恩, 尚有何法驅魔?

誰能如主, 時常導引扶持?

無論風雨晦明, 懇求同居.

有主降祥, 仇敵何需畏懼?

淚不辛酸, 病痛也無足慮;

墳墓威權, 鋒鋩今天何處?

我仍欣然得勝, 主若同居.

示我寶架. 雙眸垂閉之時,

照徹昏幽, 指我直上天衢;

与英文原作对比一下，还是蛮有趣的：

刘先生的歌曲中译名为<夕陽西沉歌>。这个名字的意境倒是很符合作曲者的原创动机。不过我认为这首赞美诗所表达的意思远多于夕阳西沉的悲伤。Abide一词包含两个意思，第一个意思是支持，容忍，忍受等含义。第二个意思是居住。按照基督教的理论，人乃上帝的造物，请上帝容忍包容才是道理，差一点的说法也应该是请上帝同在。请上帝同居是冒犯了。
