新浪财经讯 欧洲股市早段跟随亚太区继续急跌，伦敦富时100指数在早上中段报5627，升48点，幅度为0.88%；巴黎CAC40指数报4695，跌49点，幅度1.04%；法兰克福DAX指数报6702，跌87.55，幅度为1.29%。

　　但其后欧洲股市跌幅收窄，其中伦敦股市更止跌回升。

　　市场谣传美国、英国和瑞士的中央银行将会联手减息。在巴黎，有说法称，美国联邦储备局将会把联邦基金利率减四分三至一厘。

The US Federal Reserve on Tuesday cut interest rates by 75 basis points, taking the Fed funds rate to 3.5 per cent and the discount rate to 4 per cent, helping London shares to reverse earlier losses and stemming a sharp fall in US stock futures.

Down as much as 240 points after the market opened, the FTSE 100 rallied 1.65 per cent to 5,670.2 in early afternoon trading. There had been widespread speculation of a Fed cut earlier in the day, possibly in co-ordinated moves with other central banks.

In a statement, the Fed said: ”The Federal Open Market Committee has decided to lower its target for the federal funds rate 75 basis points to 3½ per cent. The Committee took this action in view of a weakening of the economic outlook and increasing downside risks to growth. While strains in short-term funding markets have eased somewhat, broader financial market conditions have continued to deteriorate and credit has tightened further for some businesses and households. Moreover, incoming information indicates a deepening of the housing contraction as well as some softening in labour markets.”

The Fed cut came after Asian markets overnight suffered the biggest falls in more than eight years in response to the sharpest slides in European indices since the 9/11 attacks on New York more than six years ago.
