如果微软把.Net的基础拿过来，或者干脆就是扩展SilverLight，不见得比V8差。尤其考虑到微软可是有多年的编译器的经验, .Net本身就是虚拟机.
而且基本出成果也就在半年之内了
Apple 的 WebKit 团队六月份宣布的 SquirrelFish 全新 JS 引擎项目，目前已经进入 WebKit 的 Nightly Build，放弃遍历式解释，使用Bytecode的一个虚拟机。
速度嘛
Mozilla则是抱到了 Adobe 的大腿，把 Tamarin 和 Tamarin Tracing 整合进自己之前的 SpiderMonkey JS 引擎以实现本地码实时编译，以大大加快 JS 速度

只不过据称 WebKit 小组的实现还是比 Tamarin-Tracing 要更快一点
IE8还是先解决它自己既不兼容W3C，又不兼容以前IE各版本的问题吧，汗～～～

And as long as all these JS engines are 100% compatible, Google's Apps will work perfectly fine on all of them.
It's just Google can't thrust the current market leader MS to keep its own behavior in line, so it have to take some initiatives.
That's why we see this Chrome chimera now, it's more like Google's WebApps Vanguard & fallback plan in combination
的 Beta 根本不是一个概念，Gmail 的 Beta 都挂了两年多了，有出 RTM 的意思吗？除了它还有哪家的 Beta 产品可以收钱？收了钱出问题还不保？(See Google Apps crap out)
这种 Beta 无极限的花招不是什么负责任的表现。
这是我所看重的。看来每个人用户体验都不尽相同。不过，我基本上还是都用firefox 3，装了所需插件后功能没话说。
如果长时间看文字密集型网页（例如小说），safari还是很爽。而firefox 3可以随意缩放。Chrome要是哪一天也能有这两样功能，我立马就换。
还不如说 Google 的自己提供的 Chrome Benchmark 是个 Bias 到不要脸的火星测试才对 —— 如果将来 Google 的 WebApps 对于 Chrome Benchmark 所测的几项特性重度依赖，Chrome 可以在这些应用中明显超越其他引擎，那还稍好点，要是它家自己的软件都不支持，那这个测试才是个大笑话。
