有中文的翻译本，不过最好看原版。此书通俗易懂，并无太多的生物学术语。实际上是一本难得的人类学科普读物。作者身为分子生理学家，鸟类学家和语言学家，凭此书获得Pulitzer奖。

两年前的这个时候非典流行时偶然看到这本书，对书中所述病毒在人类历史上的作用颇有感触。人类的生存、进化、发展实在是神奇奥妙。希望衲兄喜欢。

<所罗门王的指环>，吐血推荐，绝对科普经典。所谓科普经典，我觉得就是要看了后让人也想亲身参与的。 而这本书就是这样一本激动人心的书。

作者洛伦兹是动物行为学的鼻祖，在７０年代获得诺贝尔奖。

Lewis Thomas is a big name to me in the biomedical books. He has written a lot of good books. However, we do not have fair translation in Chinese.I suggest you to read the english ones.

Sociobiology: The New Synthesis, Twenty-fifth Anniversary Edition by Edward Osborne Wilson

He is so famous. And he got the Pulitzer price for his book <On human nature>. I can say no more.

Toward a New Philosophy of Biology: Observations of an Evolutionist (Paperback)

by Ernst Mayr

He is one of my favorite. He is a zoologist in Harvard. Maybe a little traditional. But I like him and his books.

The Panda's Thumb: More Reflections in Natural History (Paperback)

by Stephen Jay Gould

Another big name here. I can say no more.

A History of Molecular Biology by Michel Morange

This book is pretty good one.

Science As a Way of Knowing: The Foundations of Modern Biology by John Alexander Moore

I haven't read this one. But it is still on my wish list.
