狗是scavenger的定义？哪里说的一般说狗是scavenger carnivore确定不是MM您脑补的？
俺的专业不是生物学，也木精力去翻典籍。中文资料已经被MM评价为错误不全面了，那只能拜一下wiki。

家园 其实她引用的资料里已经写明 食腐動物是指主要靠進食腐肉維生的動物。如秃鹫、鬣狗、狼獾等。 事实上绝大部分肉食性动物，都会在捕食的同时食腐。她后来的资料也不过说狗既是hunter也是scavenger，虽然用的是名词，不过是“在捕食的同时食腐”的同义反复。

家园 要害 就在这句话：食腐動物是指主要靠進食腐肉維生的動物。这个定义也是大家通常的理解。
狗应该是可以食腐的，但是“绝大部分肉食性动物”也可以食腐，狮子也可以；你需要论证“主要”这两个字。

不过，scavenger既可以狭义理解也可以广义理解，我看大多数人倾向于狭义理解（强调“主要”)，而你坚持广义理解。如此而已。
家园 吃腐肉和不吃腐肉的明显界限 是能否应对腐肉中的肉毒素. 相比之下, 杂食/肉食/草食在生物构造上的界限就不那么清晰. 所以, 很多杂食性的动物究竟归为哪一类, 可以按照它们的主要食物来源来划分.
