A 20- to 25-car accident has closed U.S. 36 in both directions between McCaslin Boulevard and Table Mesa, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Drivers reported white-out conditions from blowing snow in the area when the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the east-bound lanes near the McCaslin exit, said Trooper Eric Wynn. He said no fatalities or major injuries had been reported.
