谁敢说他们今天不对中国人这么想？！

华盛顿说印地安人同狼一样都是白人的猎物:

“Both being beast of prey, though ‘they differ in shape”；

杰佛逊说要灭绝印地安人或者把他们赶到白人去不了的地方“pursue (the Indians) to extermination, or drive them to new seats beyond our reach”；

罗斯福还说，“我不认为死掉的印地安人才是好的印地安人，但是我认为他们十人中九个如此”(“I don’t go so far as to think that the only good Indians are dead Indians, but I believe nine out of ten are, and I shouldn’t like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth”)〔Ｂ〕。
