In 2013 the installed PV capacity was 35.9 GW while produced energy was 31,400 GWh. The theoretical annual energy production is 35.9 x 365 x 24 = 314,484 GWh. That means the the overall annual efficiency of PVs is 31,400/314,484 = 10% which is very low. Looking at the instant power peak is useless.
