the CEO focused more on political networking than technological innovation.

I used Baidu and google for searching purpose. Baidu often gives weird results in search, esp., when it comes to non-Chinese contents. Google is very robust in both English/Chinese/French/German search.

Google's CEOs, despite their ultra-hatred against communism regime, are still fascinated by new technologies/new ideas/new products. Google is still a truly high-tech innovator.

I am not sure about Baidu. It is good to leverage its Chinese foot and governmental relation, but as a techie firm, it should not sleep on it.
