It is a boson. But it's unclear whether it's exactly the Higgs boson predicted by standard model. Standard model is not everything, a simple example is that the non-zero mass of neutrinos is beyond standard model. It will be great if it's the Higgs Boson predicted in the frame of standard model. However, it will be even more profound if it' s not, which could indicate deeper natural law underlying space and time.
