Politicians are all liars. The true problem in Europe now is capital insufficiency. What they need is American-styled bank recapitalization in late 1980s and 2008. But they dare not tell their constituents the truth.
They will get their CreditAnstalt moment again. It is sad that they repeat the same fate in 100 years.
