I only comment on finance/tax/accounting issues since they are my specialty, but I must point out that your understanding of the modern banking system is much much better than many domestic chinese who keep on posting blah-blah grandose talks here.

I do not understand why people still think that foreign reserves are their "xue han qian" (blood money). For me, reserves are just bunch of debits on the left hand of PBOC's balance sheet, the monetarization base for China's central bank.

Money, to some extent, is just a mirage, a calculational basis and an incentive creator.
