BTW, you should not generalize from Alberta to cover the whole Canada. Unlike U.S., in Canada, most income tax revenue goes to provincial government, and federal gov. is much weaker (compared with U.S. federal gov.) in terms of the share in the income tax revenue pool.

That explains why Canadian is actually a conferation of sovereign nations, not a modern nation like US with a strong central gov. Anyway, that's the model picked by Canada's founding fathers.

--wrong. not 个人所得税最大的问题, actually a weakness in the WHOLE TAXATION SYSTEM. When you can not identify owernship of properties, YOU ACTUALLY COULD NOT get another source of revenue: tax revenue based on WEALTH/PROPERTIES (such as real estate tax, capital gain tax and death tax--or in U.S., it is called estate tax; BTW, death tax used to exist in Canada and was eliminated in early 1970s).

Therefore, China's treasury department taxes heavily on LABOR EARNED income (against middle-class and average labor), Corporate INCOME and VALUE in distribution process (VAT), but taxes 0 on WEALTH BASES(from rich and super rich families).

Put in another way: China is like America/Canada before 1900s--super nice to capitalists/rich families/big land owners/property owners, but mean to LABOR.

This will only drive up more wealth disparity in the society and overburden the middle-class families, the pillar of ANY PEACEFUL society.

Now you see where Canada's social harmony (HE XIE) comes from. China is just another Latin America, on a large scale and lots of Chinese are still day dreaming when they are already downgraded from middle-class to underdogs.
