GOOGLE chief executive Eric Schmidt said yesterday the internet giant was still censoring web search results in China but this would change in a "reasonably short time from now".
“Our business in China is today unchanged,” said Mr Schmidt, speaking a little over a week after Google revealed it had come under attack from cyber spies based in China.
“We continue to follow their laws, we continue to offer censored results,” Mr Schmidt said. “But in a reasonably short time from now, we will be making some changes there.”
要点：承认“offer censored results”是“follow their laws”的结果，准备不再遵从中国的相关法律。如果不是虚张声势的谈判策略的话，离谷歌从中国开路的日子不远了。
