The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind.

我不知道这是不是导演自己写出来的，是的话他也可以被列入有史以来最伟大的哲学家之一。顺便说一句，所谓的“被贪婪摧毁的人”，其实并不是贪婪摧毁，而是被——要么他们最终失去了贪婪，但是他们所在的位置不允许他们退缩，于是他们立刻被后来者吞灭了；要么是他们虽然贪婪但是缺乏驾驭贪婪的能力，于是毁灭了。错不在贪婪，而在于自己。
