想想很有意思，亨利是南京人，国民党时期，南京是首都，梅花是国花，49年解放，梅花现在是市花。南京有梅花山，全国有名的赏梅胜地之一。南京还有梅园，不用说了，大家都知道，正是周总理当年工作的地方。

看了“春归”，“春到”的讨论，上网查了一下，此词的英译国外的没查到，国内的比较引用的多的有三个版本，一是所谓无名氏的，可能就是官方的翻译版本，见下

Ode to the Plum Blossomto the tune of Pu Suan Zi

On reading Lu You's Ode to the Plum Blossom, I countered it with the following lines.

Wind and rain escorted Spring's departure,

Flying snow welcomes Spring's return.

On the ice-clad rock rising high and sheer

A flower blooms sweet and fair.

Sweet and fair, she craves not Spring for herself alone,

To be the harbinger of Spring she is content.

When the mountain flowers are in full bloom

She will smile mingling in their midst.

网上有叶君健的回忆，讲到他与钱钟书都参与了毛诗的翻译，估计就是这个版本。春归用的是departure，应是归去的意思。

另一个版本是许渊冲的，见下

ODE TO THE MUME BLOSSOM

Tune: “ SONG OF DIVINATION”

December 1961

On reading Lu You’s Ode to the Mume Blossom, I countered itwith the following lines.

Then spring departed in wing and rain;

With flying snow it’s back again.

Though icicles from beetling cliffs still hang miles long,

One flower sweet and fair is there among.

Though sweet and fair, with other flowers she won’t rival,

But only heralds spring’s arrival.

When mountain flowers run riot for miles and miles,

Among them she will be all smiles.

OLD TO THE PLUM BLOSSOM

To the tune of Song of Divination

After reading Lu You’s “ Old to the Plum Blossom”, I composed the following to the same tune yet opposite to Lu You’s in theme.

Wind and rain escorted Spring to go,

Now spring retunes welcomed by flying snow.

High on the cliffs are icicles hundred-foot long,

there,A flower springs up so fair.

So fair she is, yet, not so vain

As to dominate Spring but to say it comes again.

One day when all flowers bloom in different styles,

She stands amid them all and smiles.

这里春归用的是go，还是离去的意思。

但我觉得九霄兄的解释也能成一家，本来诗无的诂，不一定只有一种解释，而且九霄兄从诗词学的解释也很有意境之美。
