If non-fever swine fever case exists, it is a very serious situation, as it againsts all previous knowledge about flu and it will be extremely difficult to control the flu epidemic. The original source of non-fever swine flu was published by New York Time on May 12 外链出处, citing Dr. Richard P. Wenzel, who is a former president of the International Society for Infectious Diseases. For a famous physician in his position, Dr. Wenzel should has many contacts with US CDC (center for disease control) and WHO (world health organization) , and he should first reported non-fever swine flu cases to these agencies before disclosing to the media. The Mexican hospital, where Dr. Wenzel found those cases, should independently reported to Mexican authority and eventually to WHO. But up to today, 12 days after news media report, no such information about non-fever swine flu cases reported by either CDC or WHO. Thus, we are still waiting for confirmation.
