Kerry endorsement of Obama is a sign that Obama wants to shows he is ready and the democrats' establishment acceptance of his campaign. like Bill Bradley's endorsement.

But I think it won't work. all those actions just add to the concerns that Obama is just too liberal, and on the left wing of democrats.

To be elected in Nov, a centrist democrat candidate is needed, otherwise the democrats will screw up even they have been a favorite to won WH this year.
